Rick Hearn ~ Umpire in Chief
Rick has been with the Gwinnett Umpires Association as an ASA Registered umpire for eight years and currently serves as the Umpire-in-Chief for the Association.

Rick has worked as an umpire in three national tournaments, and worked as the Umpire Coordinator at the 2006 Men's C Fast Pitch National Tournament in Marietta, Georgia. He is a Silver level member of the ASA Medals Program, and is a Georgia High School Association umpire. Rick is a member of the Southeastern Collegiate Umpires Association, and is also an umpire in the NCAA Division II Peachbelt Conference and the Division I Atlantic Sun Conference.

At the 2007 Regional UIC Clinic held at Emory University, Rick was the recipient of the District 22 Umpire of the Year award. Rick was also honored with induction into the National Indicator Fraternity, an elite group of just over 2200 umpires of the more than 40,000 ASA umpires nationwide.

At the 2009 Regional UIC Clinic held January 31, Rick was honored as the Georgia ASA State Umpire of the Year.

Brett Mason ~ Assistant Umpire in Chief
Brett Mason is now in his 9th year as an ASA registered umpire with Gwinnett Umpires Association. Brett currently serves as the Assistant Umpire in Chief for the association, and is also GUA's Assignor. Along with Rick Hearn, Brett handles most of the Fast Pitch training and development for GUA.

Brett is a Silver level member of the ASA Medals program, and has worked as an umpire in three ASA Fast Pitch National Tournaments, including the 2006 18A Fast Pitch National Tournament in Owensboro, Kentucky. Brett attended the ASA Slow Pitch Advanced Camp in 2006, and the ASA Fast Pitch Advanced Camp in 2007. He is also a Georgia High School Association umpire, and an NCAA official with the Southeastern Collegiate Umpires Association, where he calls Division II ball in the Peachbelt Conference and Division I ball in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

At the 2007 North Georgia Regional UIC Clinic at Emory University, Brett was honored with induction into the National Indicator Fraternity in 2007, an elite group of just over 2200 of the more than 40,000 ASA umpires nationwide.

Brooks McMillan ~ Treasurer, Lead Trainer
Brooks has been with the Gwinnett Umpires Association as an ASA registered umpire for five years and currently serves as the Secretary and Treasurer for the association, as well as Lead Trainer. Brooks is also the GUA Webmaster.

Brooks attended the ASA Slow Pitch Advanced Camp in 2006, and has called in three Slow Pitch National Tournaments, including the Hooter's Men's C East in Valdosta, GA in 2005, the Hooter's Men's D West in Sunnyvale, CA in 2006, and the Men's Industrial A in LaGrange, GA in 2007. He was also selected to serve as the Umpire Coordinator for the 2008 ASA Hooters Men's D Southern national tournament in Marietta, Georgia. Brooks is a Georgia High School Association umpire, and a Blue level member of the ASA Medals Program.

In 2008, Brooks was added to the Georgia ASA State Staff as the Adult Tournament Commissioner, taking responsibility for building the ASA slow pitch tournament program in Georgia.

James Edlen ~ GUA Board Member At Large
James Edlen is now in his 5th year as an ASA registered umpire with Gwinnett Umpires Association. In 2008, James was elected by his peers as GUA's FIRST at large member of the Board, where he represents the interests of the umpire body.

James is a Blue level member of the ASA Medals program. He attended the ASA Slow Pitch Advanced Camp in 2006, and is a Georgia High School Association umpire.

Also in 2008, James was selected to officiate in his first national tournament, the ASA Hooters Men's D Southern in Marietta, Georgia, where he was selected from 26 umpires to call third base in the championship game.
